2020—it was the year for our biennial family vacation at Hilton Head.  Not to be outdone by the pandemic, we went, but things were drastically different.  As if not eating inside restaurants, wearing masks, and social distancing was not enough, we also experienced two days of unbelievable wind and surf from hurricane Sally.
All in all, the weather was actually perfect.  We had a beautiful (and moving) worship service overlooking the beach, and then experienced something we have waited over thirty years to witness—a just-hatched baby sea turtle heading to the ocean.
This collection of my own photos will hopefully preserve the memories, although we now have many good photographers.  Audrey even experimented with getting a Senior photo, and they were ALL good!  The kids’ photos would be more entertaining, and in fact, I had to include a couple just to lighten the mood.  I actually didn’t take my favorite photo—Livi photobombing Audrey’s Senior portrait.
